Today marked the first time returning to a dive site, it also marked the first equipment failure we had as well, a computer with a low battery, which I found out on a descent you don't really want to find out on, as the bottom was well below our cruising depth.
After the first 10 feet, the computer started flashing all of its digits and counting up, my buddy was a few feet ahead and clearing like crazy as we were descending, and once I was able to signal to him that I was thumbing the dive, we were already at 50 feet.
A quick slow ascent back up to the surface with me, him buddying up with another pair and a quick note of direction with the compass, I headed back in with a new computer set for the day.
I caught up with the group and away we went. I didn't necessarily enjoy the dive, as I was just waiting for this computer the fail as well .... There was plenty to see, but when your brain is thinking of other things, it was hard to relax and enjoy the morning dive.
It seems as if battery issues followed after lunch, it turns out I didn't quite turn off the GoPro during the SI, and quickly found out that it wouldn't do much more than a few minutes of pictures before shutting down. Oh well, I enjoyed this dive anyways, as my buddy didn't do this one the last time (his non diving day), and we ended up seeing lots of life along with the swim thru.
